Sales on Behalf Of
Farm Shop can sell your goods and services on your behalf. A simple contract is entered into which enables you to display your goods and services on Farm Shop. We charge a commission fee 20% to your recommended sale price in order to cover selling and administration costs. When a customer places an order, Farm Shop processes the order as follows:
The Sale Process
1. Product or Service is for Sale on Farm Shop
2. Customer Places an Order
3. Farm Shop processes the order
4. Order is paid for by the Customer
5. Supplier/Seller receives the order and fills it
6. Item is couriered to the Customer direct from the Supplier
7. Farm Shop pays the Supplier/Seller (less any commissions)
All orders placed are invoiced to the customer at the sale price and a buyer created invoice is created to the supplier by Farm Shop and this paid out on the 20th of the month following the sale (together with any other sales).
Note: Freight is an extra cost that purchasers will bear, however the sale price of a product must factor the freight component in order that products may be competitive in the market place.
Wholesale Sellers
Farm Shop offer a means to wholesalers or manufacturers wanting to sell goods, as follows:
Just in Time Basis (JIT) - Wholesaler carries the inventory stock
Our policy is not to carry inventories therefore we can contract to buy your goods on a Just in Time Basis (JIT) order basis.
The wholesaler holds the goods at their premises. We contract to display on our Website a range of one or more goods from your business, showing the sale price and quantity of items in stock. We add a markup margin of 30% to 50% to cover our selling and administration costs and the goods are sold as being retailed by Farm Shop NZ Ltd.
Freight costs to the customer need to be considered in pricing to be competitive. We put a freight contract in place with a preferred courier, which can supply courier packs and appropriate pricing arrangements. When we send an order through the Wholesaler then freights the goods direct to the customer. Farm Shop then pays the supplier the wholesale cost on a Buyer Created invoice on the 20th of the month following any sale.

Retailers
Complimentary Service to an Existing Retail Outlet
Farm Shop’s on-line shop can allow a business to sell goods on the World Wide Web to NZ and international customers. If your business does not have an Internet presence and you only sell from a shop, market or locally then our service opens up a new marketplace for your business.
Benefits are:
- Access to a larger market and new market places
- No development and maintenance costs for an e-tail web site
- No need to open a shop in an new area, just sell on-line
- Your business and products are marketed to a wider target audience
- Potential increase in sales turnover
The process is similar to that of JIT above or On Behalf Sales and the Sale process as outlined in
The Sale Process (above). Our commission fees take into account the fact your business has already purchased inventory at wholesale cost. The commission fees are 25% of the recommended retail price. Commission may be lower on high volume items and is negotiable. Freight is an extra cost (to the buyer).
Currency
All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZ $) and are inclusive of GST. GST at the rate of 12.5% is included on all sales made in New Zealand. For non-resident (New Zealand) sales GST will be Zero Rated (remitted) and will be advised to the purchaser by e-mail for the new sale price.
