Buying
On the home or Index page, select the category you wish to browse and you will be taken to the appropriate page, i.e., select Livestock, you will then be taken to that page. Next look for the sub category for the class or item you are looking for, i.e. sheep in the sub menu. This will show you the number of items available for sale. Selecting the sub-category brings up the individual item(s) available.
Next you can browse the item by either clicking onto the product description or image if provided to see a more detailed description, a photo gallery, availability, colour and weight, and a section where you can rate the item and send it to Farm Shop for a review.
To buy the item, simply click onto the shopping cart icon, which will take you to the shopping cart. Here you can see the item, its quantity, price and any shipping cost and total price. You further have the option to return the shop and continue shopping, recalculate your total purchases, empty the cart or move to the checkout to purchase the item.
At the checkout, complete the form entering your shipping and billing information. Note that if your billing information is the same as the shipping details, tick the box at the bottom of the shipping form to avoid keying in the same information twice. Enter the method of payment. Choose one of 'Cheque', 'Bank' or 'Paymate' (Credit Card payment facility - Visa and Master Card only accepted). Note; we do not offer payment option facilities for overseas currencies (the NZ dollar only) at this time. Go to Step 2.
For Cheque Payments
The price is shown. Next enter your Cheque payment details, bank and branch, date of Cheque and method that you are sending the Cheque by. Click Submit. The Thanks page appears next, giving you the Farm Shop address of where to send your payment. You are also given the option to return to the store, or pay by direct on-line bank payment if you wish. Should you choose on line bank payment then follow the instructions as per the next page and as detailed below.
For Direct Credit Payment On-line
The price is shown. Next enter your Bank Account details, date and time. Click Submit. The Thanks page appears next, and asks you to proceed to bank payment, click here. The Bank page gives you the Farm Shop bank account details and address and show a selection of the main New Zealand banks through which to make your payment. Choose your bank and make your payment on-line or by manual deposit through your nearest branch. If your bank is not on this page you will need to locate it on your browser.
For Credit Card Payment via 'Paymate'
Paymate is a secure on-line method enabling payment by Credit Card. Visa or Master Card only are accepted by Paymate. You will be directed to a "Pay by Paymate" button, click this and a new browser window will open to Farm Shop's Paymate account. On this page enter your payment and account details. You may be asked to open a Paymate account in order to process your payment. This is a three step process. Your order and payment will be confirmed by e-mail from Farm Shop.
Notification of Order and Payment
For Cheque and Direct Credit payments Farm Shop will send out an email to you to inform that we have received your order and that we will complete it when payment has been credited to Farm Shops bank account. No further action will be taken by Farm Shop until all funds have been cleared. When your payment has been received Farm Shop will send an email to confirm payment and to advise the shipping details, expected delivery time and confirm the order has been actioned. For Paymate transactions your order and payment will be confirmed by e-mail from Farm Shop.
Classified Advertising
Sellers
To sell items on Farm Shop you have the option to use our Classified Advertising section to sell your goods through. To place an advert you need to submit the details for your advert through the Contact Us page using the Email form provided.
Enter your name, email and the subject of the Classified Advert. In the Message section type the body of your advert, and whether you wish to attach a photo to the advert. (see above example). Also state how long you want to display your advert for. We will process your email and reply by return email to confirm details and advise payment details of the advert. Where a photo is required you will need to submit a reply email and attach from one to five photos in either gif or bmp file formats only.
Payment must be received before the advert can be displayed. We will advise you when the advert has been loaded and confirm that it is correct.
When the advert is displayed the buyers can contact you directly in all matters with out further referral to Farm Shop. If you have sold your item you will need to advise Farm Shop so that we can remove the advert.
Wanted Adverts
Submit your advert as per the same format as for Sellers above.
Banner Advertising
If you are a business or an individual with a Website and are seeking to promote your business, product or service then Farm Shop offers a Banner Advertising and linking service to your Website. To advertise your Website banner simply go to the Help, or Add Link, or Contact Us page to the “Add your Banner Here – Banner Exchange Welcome” link and click. You will be taken to the Contact Us e-mail form, here add your details and complete the form. See the example.
Farm Shop will contact you by return e-mail to advise payment details and to obtain the banner file as an attachment by return e-mail.
Banner sizes displayed are 468x60 pixel and 86x60 (button) pixel. Ensure that your return e-mail contains the URL link that the banner is to link to, the file of the banner (as an attachment) which should be no more than 12 Kb and the Alternate text that you want to show when the mouse runs over the Banner, i.e. “My Business banner.”
Website Links
Farm Shop allows you to submit a link to your Website through our Add Link page (Fee applies as per the Pricing page). Farm Shop offer the option of a FREE reciprocal link on Farm Shop's Website, in exchange for a link to Farm Shop on your Website. Simply complete the on-line form (via Contact Us page) and submit the form to Farm Shop.
Note: We only will link your Website if we will find a link back to us.

Currency
All prices for items advertised for sale through the shop or classified advertising are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZ $) and are inclusive of GST. For non-resident (New Zealand) sales GST will be Zero Rated (remitted) and will be advised to the purchaser by e-mail for the new sale price. Further Note - Farm Shop NZ Ltd is GST registered, therefore all pricing is treated as GST inclusive in the event of any dispute arising.
